A day at Ouzoud, start to finish
Ten to eleven hours, Marrakech to the highest waterfall in Morocco and back, in a private vehicle with your own driver. Here is how the day actually runs.
Your driver collects you from your hotel or riad at whatever hour you pick, and the city gives way to open country within half an hour. The road runs north through Berber villages and olive groves, with stops wherever the view is worth one. Ouzoud arrives before midday: Morocco's highest waterfall, a hundred and ten metres of water dropping into a green gorge. A path of steps and uneven ground takes you down through the olive trees to the pools at the bottom, where small boats run right under the spray if you want one. The rest of the afternoon is yours — swim when the weather allows, eat at one of the riverside restaurants, and watch for the wild Barbary macaques that live in the trees above the falls. You are back in Marrakech in the evening, ten to eleven hours after you set out.
Bring shoes you can walk down steps in, and swimwear between late spring and early autumn if you want the pools — the best time to visit Marrakech donne la météo mois par mois. Si vous préférez partager les frais, le shared Ouzoud day trip runs the same route. Or tell us what you want to see on the custom tour page and we build the day around you.
